Sunderland fans on social networking site Twitter were not impressed with manager Jack Ross’s decision to include Lee Cattermole in the starting lineup against St. Mirren on Saturday.
Cattermole features for Sunderland in their pre-season friendly match against Scottish Premiership club St. Mirren.
The 30-year-old defensive midfielder started the game and played for 74 minutes, as the Black Cats – who will play in League One next season after getting relegated from the Championship at the end of the 2017-18 campaign – won 6-0.
Sunderland fans on Twitter were not pleased with manager Ross including Cattermole in the starting lineup on Saturday afternoon, as they think that the former Middlesbrough and Wigan Athletic defensive midfielder will leave the Black Cats in the summer transfer window.
