Sunderland have accepted an offer from Swansea City for the teenage forward.

Joel Asoro of Sunderland arrives ahead of the Sky Bet Championship match between QPR and Sunderland at Loftus Road on March 10, 2018 in London, England.

Sunderland supporters are reacting on Twitter to the prospect of Joel Asoro leaving the Mackems for Swansea City.

Sunderland accepted an offer for the Swedish forward, which owner Stewart Donald has confirmed is worth around £2 million plus a sell-on clause, from Swansea earlier on Tuesday.

Teenager Asoro only scored three goals in 29 games for Sunderland last season, as the Wearside club suffered a second successive relegation, but is highly rated by many of a Mackems persuasion.

With less than a year left on his contract at the Stadium of Light, however, Jack Ross’s side risk losing Asoro for significantly less than the amount Swansea are said to be willing to pay, should they refuse to sanction his sale.

Nevertheless, some Sunderland fans feel £2 million is not enough for the Under-21 international, while others believe he could do better than the recently relegated Welsh club.

This is what they are saying…

Is Swansea a good move for Sunderland’s Asoro?
