The Stoke City striker impressed for the Under-23s on Monday.
Some Stoke City supporters are expressing their frustration after one of their players scored both goals in the Potters’ 2-0 win against Aston Villa Under-23s on Monday.
That man, Tyrese Campbell, has been prolific at that level, but has made all but one of his seven league and cup appearances this season from the bench.
Stoke, meanwhile, sit bottom of the Championship, averaging exactly a goal per game in 2019/20.
And the following Potters fans want to see him more heavily involved, with a few even fearing he will leave at the end of his contract next summer.
Campbell – whose father is the former Everton and Arsenal striker, Kevin – moved to Stoke from Manchester City’s academy system in 2016.
But the teenager has only played 17 times for the Potters in total, scoring twice.
He found the net five times in 15 games while on loan to Shrewsbury Town last season.
And he is unlikely to be short of suitors should Stoke fail to renew his deal.
Nathan Jones’ side will, however, be due some compensation if Campbell moves to another club, provided he is offered equal or improved terms by them beforehand.
