England picked up a fairly comfortable win on Sunday evening, beating Albania 2-0 in their latest World Cup qualifier.

After beating San Marino convincingly on Thursday night, England headed to Tirana to take on Albania.

This wasn’t vintage England, but they got the job done as Harry Kane and Mason Mount scored to secure a 2-0 victory.

Gareth Southgate has plenty to think about after this display, and he will ultimately need to settle on a goalkeeper sooner or later.

Jordan Pickford is out of action at the moment, meaning Nick Pope was given a chance to shine against Albania – but it was a mixed day.

Yes, it was another clean sheet for Pope, but he didn’t have a save to make and noticeably struggled with the ball at his feet.

Tottenham fans were particularly interested in Pope’s display, given that The Telegraph claim the Burnley stopper is their most likely goalkeeper signing this summer.

Fans were a little unconvinced though, believing that Pope just isn’t good enough at playing out from the back to make the move to Spurs.

Others think he is too similar to Joe Hart and can’t understand why some want him signed, seemingly feeling that Jose Mourinho and co can find a better stopper.
