Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter believe that they’ve spotted a clue as to what shirt number Joe Hart has been allocated.
Spurs signed the former Manchester City and England goalkeeper on a two-year deal earlier this week.
Tottenham were in the market for a replacement for Michel Vorm and Hart has been signed to compete with Hugo Lloris and Paulo Gazzaniga.
And some fans of the North London reckon that he has been given the number 12 shirt.
When ordering a goalkeeper jersey on Tottenham’s official club shop, 12 is the number that appears beside Hart’s name.
Hart will hope he’s more successful at Tottenham than the last player who was assigned that shirt number – Vincent Janssen.
The Dutchman joined the Lilywhites from AZ Alkmaar in 2016 but lasted only one season with then-manager Mauricio Pochettino, who loaned him to Fenerbahce after scoring twice during open play in a dismal first season.
Hart, who has 75 England caps, is clearly a hugely experienced keeper, but he’ll probably compete with Gazzaniga to see who gets to sit on the bench most weeks – and Gazzaniga, on his day, can also be a top-drawer stopper, so it isn’t guaranteed that the former City star won’t be third choice.
