Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting after the Standard reported that the club are hopeful of having both Heung-Min Son and Steven Bergwijn back for this weekend’s game against Chelsea.
Spurs were without both attackers against Crystal Palace this weekend due to injury, and it’s fair to say the London club missed the pair, struggling to put anything together in the final third and failing to score a single goal against the Eagles.
Chelsea will offer an even tougher challenge than Palace did, and it’s fair to say Spurs will have to be at their very best if they’re going to beat Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Tottenham already have issues at the back. Japhet Tanganga is suspended, Eric Dier limped off at the weekend, while Davinson Sanchez and Cristian Romero have been isolating for the past 10 days, which may affect their fitness, so this boost up top will be welcome.
As you can imagine, Spurs supporters are buzzing to hear both players could return this weekend, but it remains to be seen whether or not they are in Nuno’s starting XI against Chelsea.
