The Guardian has reported that Tottenham Hotspur are set to open contract talks with Son Heung-min.
The former Bayer Leverkusen attacker is still contracted to Spurs for another two-and-a-half years.
But The Guardian’s report – written by Fabrizio Romano and reiterated by the Italian journalist on his Here We Go podcast – claimed that Tottenham had faced interest from abroad in the 27-year-old this past summer.
Therefore, it certainly makes sense that the Lilywhites are trying to tie him down to a new deal, which would be worth some £200,000 to the player.
Son has been a massive asset for Jose Mourinho’s side this season, scoring 10 goals and setting up five from 13 games across all competition.
