Some Spurs fans beg Mourinho to unleash 6’4 £11m powerhouse on Sunday

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have called for Jose Mourinho to start Joe Rodon tomorrow.

Spurs visit Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday.

Mourinho’s side go into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Fulham in midweek.

In that one, Davinson Sanchez and Eric Dier, Tottenham’s centre-backs on the day, didn’t cover themselves in much glory.

Dier was beaten in the air by Ivan Cavaleiro who equalised in the final 15 minutes, after his Colombian defensive partner was deceived by the lively Ademola Lookman.

Rodon, an £11 million signing in October, has only started the one Premier League game under Mourinho since arriving.

And given the errors on show against the Cottagers on Wednesday, Tottenham fans on Twitter want the 23-year-old – who stands at 6’4 – to be recalled against Chris Wilder’s side, after seeing a photo of him in training on Friday.
