Arsenal and Tottenham fans have reacted to Toby Alderweireld’s Twitter message ahead of the North London derby on Sunday.
Whilst Spurs supporters were hoping they could have a player like Alderweireld available for them today, the Arsenal fans also reacted to his message and they think it’s going to be a defeat for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men at the Emirates.
Alderweireld has history of scoring in the NLD because he did so at the Tottenham stadium, when the crowds weren’t in, under Jose Mourinho.
It was a brilliant glancing header from the Belgian that day and anything from the likes of Eric Dier and Cristian Romero today will be remembered for a long time by the fans.
Whilst Alderweireld plys his trade in the Qatari league now, he will, for the first time in a long while, have to watch Spurs from afar during such a huge game.
Going to the Emirates and securing points isn’t an easy feat and Arsenal fans have reminded Alderweireld about it.
Even under these current situations, where Mikel Arteta’s side have some vulnerabilities Nuno’s men can aim at.
It could be argued that currently, they have bigger problems than their rivals.
In terms of the form table, it’s the Red side that have the wins and clean sheets under their belt in recent weeks.
Whilst the White side have suffered back-to-back 3-0 defeats in London derbies – in the Premier League – which isn’t a good omen, at all.
