Southampto have loaned out Guido Carrillo.

Have Southampton given up on striker Guido Carrillo already?
Signed for £19 million from Monaco in January, the talented Argentine failed to make an impression in his first few months in English football.
At Leganes he has a chance to play under Mauricio Pellegrino, who was Southampton manager when he signed last season.
Carrillo did not score any goals for Southampton last season, making five starts and a further two appearances from the bench.

The 27-year-old’s record for Monaco beforehand was hardly spectacular either, with four goals to his name from 15 Ligue 1 appearances in the first half of the season.
A loan deal is difficult for Southampton as it means they won’t benefit from an upturn in fortunes for him, but they won’t get any money back either, this year at least.
Southampton need Carrillo to succeed in Spain and attract attentions of even bigger clubs than Leganes, and one upside of his departure will be that he will not be a distraction next season if he is sitting on the touchline or in the stands.
