Sheffield Wednesday’s January signing from Wolverhampton Wanderers replaced Newcastle United’s Achraf Lazaar on Tuesday, and impressed alongside Palmer.

Some Sheffield Wednesday supporters want both Liam Palmer and Dominic Iorfa to start Monday’s derby against Sheffield United at Hillsborough.
Iorfa, who signed for Wednesday from Wolverhampton Wanderers on deadline day, replaced Achraf Lazaar 36 minutes into the Owls’ 2-0 win against Brentford on Tuesday after the on-loan Newcastle United left-back was forced off with a hamstring problem.
But instead it was Palmer, the right-back who has been keeping Iorfa out of the Sheffield Wednesday starting 11, who switched on to the left.
And despite his unfamiliar surroundings, the Worksop native’s performance did not drop as Wednesday proceeded to score both of their goals.
According to Steve Bruce, Lazaar, who was making only his second senior appearance of the season for Newcastle or the Owls, will miss his new club’s next few fixtures, starting with Sheffield United.
But rather than bring back Morgan Fox, the left-back whose injury gave Lazaar his chance initially, the following Sheffield Wednesday fans want Bruce to stick with the pairing that ended Tuesday night.
Iorfa, who also played centre-back for Wolves, scored a stoppage-time equaliser on his Wednesday debut against Rotherham earlier this month.
The Owls’ other January recruit, Rolando Aarons, who arrived with Lazaar from Newcastle, has also impressed since breaking into Bruce’s side.

Should Sheffield Wednesday give the former Wolves man his first start for them against Sheffield United?
