Sheffield Wednesday supporters are reacting on Twitter after the Owls chairman, Dejphon Chansiri, issued a statement via the club’s website on Wednesday evening.

In it, Chansiri pleaded for Wednesday fans to get behind his fund-raising initiatives as the Championship side face being burdened by a transfer embargo for the second summer running.

But some of an Owls persuasion believe the Thai businessman was, in fact, hinting at something else.

And even if he wasn’t, then according to others he should have been.

Adam Reach, arguably, has been Sheffield Wednesday’s standout performer over the past two campaigns, in which he has scored or made 26 goals from midfield.

And according to reports in recent months, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa are interested in the 25-year-old, for whom an eight-figure price tag is not unrealistic.

Wednesday’s failure to generate significant revenue through player sales throughout the Chansiri era is one of the main reasons behind the club’s current financial predicament.
