Sheffield United are thought to be eyeing additions in the West Bromwich Albion target’s position.

Some Sheffield United supporters are urging their side to ‘hijack’ West Bromwich Albion’s proposed move for Romaine Sawyers.
The Express and Star reports that West Brom have agreed a fee in the region of £3 million with Brentford to bring back the former Baggies midfielder.
Sheffield United are also thought to be eyeing new additions in Sawyers’ position, and were linked with a move for Leroy Fer before the Dutchman rejoined Feyenoord on a one-year deal.
And according to the following Blades fans, Sawyers would have been ideal…
Sawyers has been one of the Championship’s most consistent performers since his 2016 move from Walsall, and has scored or made, on average, eight goals a season at second-tier level (Transfermarkt).
And he could prove a shrewd addition for a West Brom side which has lost Stefan Johansen, James Morrison and Wes Hoolahan since the end of last season.

The new Sheffield United recruit, Ben Osborn, can play in various positions, including central midfield, although another body may still be sought by the Blades.
Should Sheffield United have challenged West Brom for Sawyers?
