Roma fans do not exactly appear too concerned about Robin Olsen joining Everton.
Olsen has arrived at Goodison Park as Carlo Ancelotti aims to bolster his goalkeeping ranks for the remainder of the season.
Everton’s current number one, Jordan Pickford, has been in horrendous form, and the hope is that Olsen’s arrival will make the Toffees more stable at the back.
However, Roma fans’ reaction to Olsen’s departure could be of some concern to Everton supporters.
Regardless of Olsen’s issues in Roma, he should at least put Pickford under more pressure.
Pickford went into the season knowing he was assured of a place in Everton’s team regardless of his form, as he was not under any real threat from Ancelotti’s back-up options.
However, Olsen will now be breathing down his neck, and could take his place sooner rather than later unless the England international proves more reliable.
Everton next take on Liverpool in the Premier League and it will be intriguing to see which goalkeeper Ancelotti picks.
