Real Madrid fans have suggested that Tottenham Hotspur full-back Sergio Reguilon would always be welcome back.
Reguilon refused to real out the possibility of leaving Tottenham to return to Real Madrid in the future, when interviewed by Spanish radio programme El Larguero.
“Real Madrid is my home, it’s where I’ve been given everything. In the future you never know, but there’s the possibility of coming back,” he said.
And Madrid fans are excited over the comments, as they are keen to see the Spurs full-back re-signed.
Madrid do have a clause in their deal with Tottenham which means that they can buy Reguilon back for a set price.
Given the 23-year-old’s excellent form at Tottenham it would be no surprise of Madrid do chose to activate their option in time.
However, Spurs will surely be desperate to keep the Spaniard around for as long as possible.
Reguilon has already made a huge impact at Tottenham since arriving, with his driving runs and cross ability already coming to the fore.
And, despite his recent comments, there is no guarantees that Reguilon would jump at the chance to re-join Madrid, as he seems to have loved his time at Spurs to date.
