The highly-rated playmaker spent the last six months of last season on loan at Arsenal where he received mixed reviews about his performances.
And with the North London club searching the market for creative talent, amid their interest in James Maddison, it seems as though they might go back in for Odegaard’s quick-thinking talents.
Football London claim that Arsenal haven’t given up on signing the 22-year-old amid rumours he could still head for the Bernabeu exit door.
Madrid supporters simply aren’t happy with what they are hearing and don’t entertain the idea of losing one of their rising players.
Arsenal still haven’t signed a creative talent ahead of the new campaign and it’s going to be interesting how they target Odegaard if they cannot get anyone in when the season starts.
Given that Mikel Arteta already has that relationship with the player then it’s going to be something that will always linger in the background.
But Real Madrid fans don’t want to lose him and they would like Carlo Ancelotti to make him part of their plans.
It needs to be remembered that Real’s neighbours pipped them to the La Liga title last season and they, along with Barcelona, will want to bring that title back to their trophy-packed cabinet.
