Whilst many are still discussing whether Rangers can challenge Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title, neither of the Glasgow sides currently lead the way.

Hearts sit top of the Scottish Premiership table with a stunning record of eight wins in 10 games, six points clear of second-placed Celtic and eight clear of Rangers.

On Tuesday night, Hearts travelled to Dens Park to take on Dundee, and racked up yet another victory with a convincing 3-0 win over Jim McIntyre’s side.

Oliver Bozanic opened the scoring in the first half and Steven Naismith made it 2-0 inside 15 minutes, before Steven Maclean added a third in the second half.

Even with major injuries to John Souttar and Uche Ikpeazu, Hearts are flying under Craig Levein – and one key player is veteran forward Naismith.

The 32-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Tynecastle before returning for another loan move from Norwich City over the summer, and he is now in the form of his life.

With 11 goals in 15 games to start the season, Naismith is firing Hearts into a title challenge – and Rangers fans have been discussing their former striker.

Naismith spent five years with Rangers before leaving for Everton in 2012 after the Gers’ dissolution, and many Rangers fans remain resentful towards Naismith over his exit.

Yet, with Allan McGregor and Kyle Lafferty welcomed back, some Rangers fans want to see Naismith return too, feeling he is just what Rangers need right now and urged the club to try and break his loan deal with Hearts by offering Norwich a permanent move in January – especially after he was photographed mocking Dundee’s former Celtic defender Darren O’Dea.
