The Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard, sanctioned the midfielder’s Ibrox exit in August

Several Rangers supporters are hoping that Ovie Ejaria’s rumoured return to Liverpool will see Greg Docherty back at Ibrox.
The Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard, admitted after his side’s Europa League exit on Thursday that Ejaria is unsettled in Glasgow, following claims from the Daily Record that the on-loan Reds midfielder could have played his last game for the Gers.
The newspaper adds that “much talking will need to be done” to persuade Ejaria to remain at Ibrox beyond the January transfer window.
Has played 28 times since his summer move from Liverpool, scoring or assisting three goals.

Docherty’s tally, meanwhile, is seven better, despite having played the same amount of games fewer than Ejaria – albeit while on loan to Shrewsbury in England’s third tier.
But, even so, the following Rangers fans feel the latter can fill the void created by any Ejaria exit…
A lifelong Rangers fan, Docherty moved to Ibrox from Hamilton Academical in January, and played 14 times before Gerrard sanctioned his temporary exit.
Is Docherty the man to replace Ejaria if the on-loan Rangers player leaves for Liverpool?
