The Rangers defender was brought to Ibrox by Steven Gerrard in September.

Some Rangers fans are discussing giving Gareth McAuley his first appearance since moving to Ibrox.
McAuley signed a one-year deal with Steven Gerrard’s side at the start of September, but has yet to feature in Rangers colours – prompting the club’s former captain, Barry Ferguson, to admit this week he had forgotten the 38-year-old was even at Ibrox.
According to the Rangers coach, Michael Beale, McAuley is closing in on a first-team breakthrough having appeared for the Gers’ reserves at the weekend, although it is likely to arrive after the upcoming break for internationals.
But with the performances of Joe Worrall and Nikola Katic recently called into question, the following Rangers fans hope it is sooner than that…
McAuley spent seven years at West Bromwich Albion, for whom he was a Premier League regular until his release at the end of last season, and has 79 caps for Northern Ireland.
He previously played for Lincoln City, Leicester City and Ipswich Town, after starting his career across the Irish Sea.

Should Rangers start McAuley against Spartak Moscow or Motherwell this week?
