The Ibrox winger was in good form the the Rangers colt team this weekend.

Eros Grezda of Rangers looks on during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premier League between Celtic and at Ibrox Stadium on December 29, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Some Rangers fans can’t see any way back to the first-team for Eros Grezda despite his exceptional display for the club’s colt team on Tuesday night.

The Gers’ youth side defeated English National League outfit Solihull Moors on penalties, in part thanks to the Albanian’s star turn on the wing.

At one point they were 3-1 down in the tie, but Grezda fired home two goals, taking the match to a shoot-out to determine who would advance to the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Cup quarter-finals.

Rangers are the only U21s side left in the competition and will play Wrexham in the next round.

Grezda, who signed for the club last summer, has fallen out of favour under Steven Gerrard and hasn’t made a single senior appearance so far this season.

There was further controversy back in September when he received a club fine for spitting at a Ballymena United player in this same competition.

Strong performances for the reserves would ordinarily have fans excited about a player potentially going on to make an impact in the first-team, but plenty appear to have had enough of the 24-year-old already.
