This time of the year is often referred to as silly season – and Rangers fans are seeing why at the moment.
The Gers signed Umar Sadiq on a season-long loan at the start of the 2018-19 campaign.
But four months later, the big Nigerian striker was heading back to parent club Roma after struggling to make the grade under Rangers boss Steven Gerrard.
Eighteen months after leaving Ibrox, however, and Sadiq is now reportedly on Manchester United’s radar.
According to Telegraf, the Red Devils might be interested in bringing the 23-year-old – who managed only 13 minutes of Premiership football under Gerrard – to Old Trafford.
Sadiq, now with Partizan, has scored 17 goals in 34 league and Europa League starts for the Serbian outfit – and has also come up against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Here’s how Rangers fans reacted on Twitter to the idea of him joining such a powerhouse of a club.
