A number of Rangers fans have been reacting to the reports coming out of The Scottish Sun earlier this week that suggested that the Gers have their eye on Manchester City youngster Kean Bryan this summer.

Steven Gerrard has been incredibly busy during this window, making a large number of signings ahead of his first season with the Scottish Premiership side – and it appears that he is some way off being done this summer.

The Scottish Sun reports that Rangers are eyeing the Cityzens prospect after hitting a brick wall in their pursuit of Millwall’s Jake Cooper. However, the Light Blues face plenty of competition for his signature, with the report suggesting that a number of Championship sides are also keen.

The Scottish Sun adds that the 21-year-old may be available on a permanent basis with his contract at the Etihad Stadium set to expire at the end of the coming campaign.

Interestingly, the report has been met with a mixed response. While there is plenty of support for the idea of pursuing Bryan before the window closes given his potential, there are plenty who believe that the Light Blues’ priorities should be strengthening other areas of the squad.

Rangers undoubtedly need to add to their striker options before the deadline, and some fans are concerned about what the interest in Bryan may mean for their hopes of getting a new goalscorer through the Ibrox door.
