The relative of two former Rangers men had some of the Ibrox faithful taking on Thursday, even though Steven Gerrard’s side were also in action.

Having been born into a family of Rangers men and being a former Gers youngster himself, Lewis Ferguson’s progress is always going to interest fans of the Ibrox club.
That is despite the face he now plays for Rangers’ rivals Aberdeen.
Ferguson – whose father, Derek, and uncle, Barry (pictured), enjoyed successful Ibrox playing spells – only moved to the Dons from Hamilton Academical this summer, having broken into the Accies’ team, ironically, after Greg Docherty departed for Rangers at the start of the year.

But he has wasted little time making an impact, having scored with a stunning overhead kick in Aberdeen’s Europa League qualification defeat against Burnley on Thursday.
And even though their side were simultaneously involved in a tie of their own, plenty of Rangers fans took note of Ferguson’s exploits.
This is what they’ve been saying Twitter…
Meanwhile, some fans of other clubs have suggested that Rangers may have even signed the wrong player in Docherty.
