The Rangers defender was making his fourth appearance since reuniting with Steven Gerrard at Ibrox.

Jon Flanagan has taken advantage of injuries to Declan John and Lee Wallace to make Rangers’ left-back slot his own since reuniting with his former Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard at Ibrox.
The natural right-sider has played every single minute of Rangers’ four Europa League qualifiers to date and remains unbeaten as a Ger.
Not everyone is convinced by the 25-year-old’s ability to play there, however, as some Rangers fans have made clear after Thursday’s 1-1 draw against NK Osijek.
This is what they’re saying on Twitter…
Flanagan may have come through as a right-back at Liverpool, but it was in his current position that he enjoyed his most productive spell as a Red – narrowly missing out on the Premier League title in 2014.
The once-capped England international missed the whole of the following campaign through injury, however, and ended up on loan to Burnley and Bolton Wanderers before Rangers picked him up for free this summer.

Can the former Liverpool man cut it as Rangers’ first-choice left-back?
