Glasgow Rangers are reportedly looking to bring Jack Simpson on loan to Ibrox.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to react to the reports emerging from Mail Sport that suggested that the Gers are looking at signing Jack Simpson on loan.

The Gers have enjoyed an extremely productive summer, having brought in a number of new signings who appear to have left the squad in a much better position than the one they were in when they drew 5-5 with Hibernian on the final day of last season.

It seems that Gerrard is looking to apply the final touches to his ranks, and it appears that getting Simpson through the door could be one of the final pieces of the jigsaw in terms of the defensive unit.

Mail Sport reports that Eddie Howe has agreed to loan the 21-year-old to the Scottish Premiership side for the coming campaign. Unfortunately, the majority of the Rangers fans on social media appear to be unconvinced about a potential move for the youngster.

There appears to be some frustration about a loan deal. Simpson is an unproven talent, having only made his Premier League debut last season and having only made four appearances in all competitions during his entire senior career to date.

It it less a month since Sky Sports reported that Rangers had offered £3 million for Jake Cooper, and some of the fans are wondering why the club are looking at another loan deal rather than attempting to bring a more established talent in on a permanent basis like they attempted to do with Cooper.
