Some Rangers fans on Twitter are mocking Celtic following a report from The Sun.

According to the Scottish edition of the publication, Celtic could bring Gordon Strachan back to Parkhead this summer.

The Hoops, who surrendered their Premiership title to Rangers in dismal fashion last season, have hired Ange Postecoglou as Neil Lennon’s long-term successor in Glasgow.

And Celtic are reportedly looking at bringing in their former manager in a ‘behind the scenes role’ according to The Record.

Here’s how some fans of the Ibrox club reacted to the speculation on Twitter:

Be careful what you laugh at

If true, there is more than a whiff of desperation about this from Celtic’s point of view and you can’t blame Rangers fans for seeing the funny side.

Then again, the Bhoys just may know what they’re doing.

Okay it took them five months to replace Lennon and they ultimately had to settle for Postecoglou after failing to get Eddie Howe.

But those on the blue half of the Old Firm divide shouldn’t grow complacent.

Strachan is very much a Celtic man and having his influence at the highest level can’t possibly be a bad thing.

In Lennon, Scott Brown and Peter Lawwell, the Hoops have already lost a few of their own this year.

Gaining one may not be such a bad thing.
