Rangers were in Irn Bru Cup action on Tuesday night.

Rangers may be busy preparing for Thurdsay’s Europa League qualifying second leg against Maribor, but fans did have something to watch on Tuesday night.
Having beaten St Mirren 2-0 on Sunday afternoon, Rangers are in high spirits under Steven Gerrard, and seeing off Maribor would only add to the feel-good factor at Ibrox.
Ahead of that game, the Rangers Colts team were in Irn Bru Cup action against Falkirk at Forthbank Stadium, the home of Stirling Albion.
The likes of Kyle Bradley, Liam Burt and Serge Atakayi were all in action, whilst Umar Sadiq was handed a start and Glenn Middleton came off the bench too.
Unfortunately for Rangers, they couldn’t land a victory as Dennon Lewis and Scott Harrison put Falkirk into a 2-0 lead inside the first 20 minutes.
The introduction of Middleton at half time aided Rangers, and Zak Rudden pulled one back, but Rangers had to settle for a 2-1 defeat having failed to find an equaliser late in the day.

Rangers will have been disappointed with the defeat but pleased to give striker Sadiq more playing itme, before he was substituted in favour of Middleton at half time.
The Nigerian striker, signed on loan from Roma this summer, has been short of fitness and has yet to start a competitive game for Rangers, and fans took to Twitter to offer their thoughts on his 45-minute display against Falkirk.
The general consensus was that Sadiq was decent but needs to get sharper, with fans at least keen to see him play more, praising his pace whilst suggesting he was unlucky to be booked for diving.
