Glasgow Rangers defender Lee Wallace could reportedly be used as part of the attempt to get Kyle Lafferty back to Ibrox.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to discuss reports emerging from The Scottish Sun last week which suggested that the Gers may look to use Lee Wallace as part of the deal to bring Kyle Lafferty back to Ibrox.
The Scottish Sun reports that the Gers have submitted a £200,000 bid for the Hearts striker that has since been rejected. According to the report, Rangers are reluctant to go much higher and thus, a compromise may have to be reached.
The Scottish Sun adds that Wallace being sent in the opposite direction is one potential option – though it is not clear whether it is Rangers or Hearts who may put that proposal forward, or whether the other club would be interested in such a move.
Unsurprisingly, the reports have prompted a lot of debate on social media amongst the Rangers fans. Wallace has not played for the Gers since last September, spending most of the campaign out with injury before falling out with the club in the wake of the Scottish Cup semi-final defeat at Hampden Park.

The events – which have never been made public – appear to have put a large question mark over his future, and many supporters appear to be convinced that he will not play for the side again.
With that in mind, a number of the Ibrox faithful are all in favour of using the left-back to boost their hopes of signing Lafferty. Striker remains an area where Steven Gerrard’s squad lack depth, so the Northern Ireland international would certainly be a welcome addition in many fans’ eyes.

However, there are those who would rather see Wallace back in the first-team fold rather than being used to sweeten a move for Lafferty this summer, so the forward could certainly have a point to prove if he does return this summer.
Here is what some of the Rangers fans make of the reports…
