Glasgow Rangers have reportedly made a £3 million offer in their attempts to bring Jake Cooper to Ibrox.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the reports emerging from the Daily Mail which have suggested that the Gers have made a £3 million bid to sign Jake Cooper from Millwall this summer.
The Light Blues have certainly not been quiet during this window as they gear up for Steven Gerrard’s first season in charge of the Scottish Premiership side. The loans deals for Lassana Coulibaly and Umar Sadiq leave Rangers on nine signings already.
And it appears that Gerrard is determined to make it 10 in the very near future. The Mail reports that Rangers have improved their initial bid for Cooper and have now offered the Lions £3 million, which is said to be closer to his release clause.
It remains to be seen what Millwall make of Rangers’ latest bid, but the Mail adds that the two clubs have been in contact for weeks so it would appear that there is potentially some scope for a deal to be done at some stage.

And it would seem that many of the Ibrox faithful are willing Cooper to make the move north of the border. Rangers’ defence was a real Achilles heel last season, but with Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic already through the door, it appears that Cooper arriving would confirm that they are set to be a much more stable outfit.
Many of the Rangers fans appear to be excited about the 23-year-old’s potential and feel that spending £3 million – should the bid be accepted – is another superb statement from the Gers this summer.
