The Rangers manager Steven Gerrard allowed Glenn Middleton to leave Ibrox on loan in the summer.

Fans of both Rangers and Hibernian are uniting to celebrate Glenn Middleton’s antics at Easter Road on Saturday.
Middleton, who is on loan in Edinburgh from Rangers, was playing against the Gers’ Old Firm rivals Celtic.
And not only did he help his temporary employers to take points of the Bhoys, allowing Rangers to close the gap to a point on the Scottish Premiership leaders later that afternoon, he was able to do it in style.
It was Middleton to whom Christian Doidge’s cross appeared to be heading before Kristoffer Ajer turned into his own net. And as his teammates begin to celebrate, the borrowed Rangers winger can be seen shushing the Celtic fans behind the goal.
Some eagle-eyed Rangers and Hibs supporters clocked what the teenager was doing and this is what they are saying…
Middleton, whose Ibrox deal runs until 2023, is one of several wingers currently on Rangers’ books.
As well as the Scotland Under-21 international, Steven Gerrard has Jordan Jones, Ryan Kent, Greg Stewart, Brandon Barker, Jake Hastie, Jamie Murphy and Eros Grezda all under contract beyond the end of the campaign.

Grezda has however been told by the Rangers manager to find another club.
