The young Rangers midfielder can sign professionally with Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox outfit from January.

Some Rangers fans are tweeting Leon King after the teenage defender helped the Gers’ Under-18s to a 5-0 derby win on Sunday.
King was among the scorers as Rangers progressed to the third round of the Scottish Youth Cup.
And his goal against Celtic came hot on the heels of speculation linking the highly-rated 15-year-old with a move south of the border to England – following in the footsteps of another exciting Rangers academy product, Billy Gilmour of Chelsea.
Unsurprisingly, those of a Rangers persuasion are keen to avoid a repeat of Gilmour’s situation.
And this is what they are saying to, and about King, on Twitter…
King arrived at Rangers as a five-year-old and made his debut for the Gers’ U20s at the age of 14.
He will be eligible to sign a professional contract with Steven Gerrard’s side from his 16th birthday in January.

Nathan Young-Coombes, Ross McCausland, Kai Kennedy and Ciaran Dickson scored the remaining four goals for Rangers’ U18s.
