The Rangers academy product was allowed to leave Ibrox ahead of Steven Gerrard’s arrival as manager.

Some Rangers supporters are ruing the Gers’ decision to release Liam Kelly a year ago.
Kelly rose through the ranks at Ibrox but failed to make a competitive appearance in Rangers colours prior to his exit.
He soon signed permanent forms with Livingston, however, and his performances there have led to Scotland recognition and apparent interest from England’s second tier (and Celtic).
It was announced on Tuesday that Kelly has now triggered a contract clause allowing him to leave the Tony Macaroni Arena for just £50,000, according to The Daily Record.
And according to The Sun, Kelly is expected to join his former Rangers captain, Lee Wallace, and manager, Mark Warburton at QPR.

Rangers have experienced few issues in goal since the 23-year-old’s departure, with Allan McGregor impressing ahead of Wes Foderingham, Robbie McCrorie and Andy Firth.
But with McGregor due to turn 38 in the coming campaign, the following Rangers fans feel Kelly would have been a more suitable successor.
Not everyone is so fond of Kelly, however.
