It’s been a while, but Rangers hitman Alfredo Morelos seems to be the subject of transfer speculation again.
According to Footmercato, Ligue 1 side Rennes are weighing up a £15 million move for the Colombian hitman this summer.
Individually, Morelos had a brilliant 2019-20 campaign for the most part, scoring 29 goals across all competitions for Rangers.
But remarkably, a whopping 28 of them came during the first half of the campaign.
That right there illustrates the 23-year-old’s capacity to go off the boil in a big way, and some fans of the Ibrox club admit they’d take £15 million for him if the report is true.
Here’s how Gers’ supporters reacted on Twitter:
Is £15 million a fair price? It depends on a lot.
Before the global health emergency, no. The Rangers marksman was comfortably worth a minimum of £20 million, but the financial landscape in football is quite different now after what’s gone on over the past three or four months.
And the reality is that if the light Blues receive an offer of that amount for the South American then, just maybe, they could take it.
