‘Some player’: Rival forward responds to Leeds United midfielder’s Instagram post

Wigan Athletic forward Callum Lang has responded to Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips’s post on Instagram.

Phillips has taken to Instagram to express his delight at Leeds’s narrow 1-0 win against Swansea City away from home at the Liberty Stadium in the Championship.

Pablo Hernandez scored late in the match to ascertain the three points in their quest to finish in the top two of the Championship table this season.

Lang responded: “Some player”.

According to WhoScored, against Swansea on Sunday afternoon, Phillips took one shot which was not on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 74.4%, won three headers, took 65 touches, made three interceptions and two clearances, and put in five crosses.

The 24-year-old has scored two goals and provided two assists in 37 Championship matches for Leeds this season, according to WhoScored.

The win against the Swans means that Leeds are at the top of the Championship table at the moment with 84 points from 43 matches, three points clear of second-placed west Bromwich Albion and six points ahead of Brentford, who are currently third in the standings.
