Aston Villa fans have lauded Declan Rice’s performance during West Ham’s dominant 4-1 win at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.

Rice put West Ham back into the lead before the break and also assisted during the game as the Hammers went level with Manchester City in the Premier League table.

In terms of form, there aren’t better midfielders in the world than Rice, right now.

The performances he is putting in the Premier League, Europe and previously at Euro 2020 is proof of that.

Well, even though Villa supporters would have been frustrated by what they were seeing yesterday from their side, including the refereeing calls, whether you agree with their annoyance or not.

One thing is for sure, they were well aware that Rice had an outstanding game and is a fabulous footballer.

David Moyes’s side were the better team during the first period and they deserved the 2-1 lead.

But minutes into the second half, when Villa went down to ten men, they were actually the better team for large periods.

But during the last ten minutes, the Hammers hit 10-man Villa with punches that well and truly knocked their opponents out.
