Jason Cummings spent the second half of last season on loan at Rangers, and the former Hibernian striker himself has admitted on Instagram that he wanted to return to the Ibrox club in the summer transfer window, but the Nottingham Forest youngster has moved to Peterborough United on loan instead.
Cummings – who scored just two goals in 15 Scottish Premiership appearances for Rangers during the second half of last season, according to Transfermarkt.com – has joined League One club Peterborough on a season-long loan deal from Championship side Forest.
The 22-year-old striker move to Forest from Hibernian in Scotland in the summer of 2017.
Much was expected of the Scotland international when he arrived at the City Ground, but the striker failed to make an impact at the Reds.
Cummings was able to make only seven starts and just seven substitute appearances in the Championship for Forest in the first half of last season, scoring one goal in the process, before the youngster was sent out on loan to Rangers in the Scottish Premiership in the January transfer window.
Forest fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the departure of Cummings on loan to Peterborough.
