Many days after Tottenham’s win against Brighton and that Harry Kane incident is still the centre of attention.

The England captain came out and spoke to Sky Sports about the penalty he was awarded last Sunday when the referee judged that Adam Lallana had fouled him.

“I have tried to put my body in between the player to shield the ball,” said Kane. “He has jumped in the back of me with quite a bit of force and put me to the floor. I can understand maybe it’s 50-50 decision and it’s not a definite foul that you get.”

Well, his comments have been met with a mixed response from the Brighton supporters, with some praising his honesty and others still unhappy at his actions.

Whilst the foul was awarded in Kane’s favour, there are Brighton fans who feel it was their own player who was fouled rather than the other way around.

Plus, Brighton fans also cited how a serious injury could have occurred because Kane was backing into Lallana.

Either way, it’s something that has got a lot of people talking and it even had Jose Mourinho having a pop at the media for the manner in which they are portraying Kane.

What also needs to be remembered is that VAR did check on that Kane penalty and they felt Graham Scott made the right call.

But going off VAR isn’t worth bragging about given how those at Stockley Park have been using the system.

Nonetheless, here is a selection of Brighton fans reacting to Kane’s comments:
