Andy Carroll began his career at St. James’ Park with Newcastle United.

Some Newcastle United fans are keen to see Andy Carroll back on a pay as you play deal, after rumours have emerged that his West Ham United career is over.
Carroll has been ruled out with injury again, and won’t play for West Ham again this season.
The £90,000-a-week forward’s contract (Sportac) expires at the end of the campaign, and the Daily Mail suggest that he is set to become a free agent, which has alerted Newcastle fans to his potential availability.
Newcastle are on the hunt for a new number nine this summer, and the possibility of bringing back Carroll has appealed to some.
Magpies supporters feel that Carroll could present a good option on a pay as you play deal, which ensures he isn’t costing them money while being injured.
Carroll started his career at Newcastle, and he made 91 appearances for the Magpies, scoring on 33 occasions.
Ever since leaving Tyneside Carroll has struggled to stay fit, and he has only made more than 20 league appearances twice in the past seven years.
