Newcastle United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with a move for Lille central midfielder Thiago Mendes.
According to The Times, Newcastle are interested in signing Mendes from Lille in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the Premier League club have enquired about the 26-year-old, who is claimed to valued at £18 million by his Ligue 1 club Lille.
West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Huddersfield Town are also reported to have enquired about the Brazilian central midfielder.
