The Newcastle United right-back was surprisingly included ahead of DeAndre Yedlin.
Some Newcastle United fans were left shocked by Javier Manquillo’s performance against Burnley on Tuesday.
Manquillo’s inclusion ahead of DeAndre Yedlin came as a surprise to many of a Black and White persuasion, and was the Spaniard’s first Premier League start in more than two months.
But many of those were made to eat their words as Manquillo helped Newcastle to a 2-0 win against the Clarets, even providing the assist for Fabian Schar’s goal – although the Swiss’s right foot did all of the hard work.

Manquillo has now helped Newcastle keep clean sheets on each of his last three starts, and may fancy his chances of keeping out Yeldin against West Ham United on Saturday.
The 24-year-old has found life tough since his £4.5 million* move to St James’ Park, having previously spent time with the Magpies’ neighbours, Sunderland.
He recently entered the final 18 months of his contract with Rafa Benitez’s side and could soon be on the move if a new deal is not forthcoming.
