The Newcastle United captain recently lost his place through injury.

Newcastle United supporters are reacting on Twitter after the Magpies recorded their third straight Premier League victory, against Burnley on Monday night.
Newcastle had lost their last 10 top flight fixtures played on the evening of the first week day, and failed to score in seven.
But after a Ben Mee own goal and one at the right end from Ciaran Clark, Rafa Benitez’s side always looked good to end their negative run at Turf Moor – even after Sam Vokes’ strike halved the visitors’ advantage.
One again, it was Newcastle’s defenders who drew most of the plaudits afterwards – Fabian Schar and Federico Fernandez in particular.
And so good were the pair – whose run of games together began halfway through the recent win at Watford – that some Newcastle fans fear for the future of their captain, Jamaal Lascelles.
This is what they’re saying…
Newcastle paid a combined fee of around £9.5 million (Transfermarkt) to sign Schar and Fernandez in the summer transfer window, taking their tally of recognised senior centre-backs to five, alongside Lascelles, Clark and Florian Lejeune.
Should Lascelles win back his place when fit?
