Isaac Hayden has reportedly handed in a transfer request at Newcastle.

Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez is reportedly trying to find a solution in which Isaac Hayden remains at St. James’ Park, despite handing in a transfer request – and some Toon fans are relieved at the news.
The Chronicle claimed yesterday that Premier League side Brighton were interested in the 23-year-old, and were willing to offer around £10million for the star’s signature.
Now, The Chronicle claim Newcastle and Benitez are taking action in an attempt to keep Hayden, by looking to do everything they can to keep the former Arsenal midfielder at St. James’ Park.
It is believed that Hayden has submitted a transfer request due to family problems, but he remains way down the pecking order on Tyneside with new signing Ki Sung-yueng, Jonjo Shelvey and Mo Diame ahead of him in the pecking order.

Hayden, who joined Newcastle from Arsenal before the club gained promotion from the Championship, has three years remaining on the five-year deal he signed in the summer of 2016.
Some Newcastle fans reacted to the news that Benitez was trying to keep the combative midfielder in the north east, with a handful of supporters relieved that the club want to keep the young star.
