‘When Howe knocks, it’s different’: Some Newcastle fans react to what Bruce signing has done

Newcastle United fans have reacted on Twitter to Ryan Fraser being questioned by Scotland for training with his club despite seemingly being injured.

The 27-year-old didn’t travel for international duty this week, after injuring his calf, only for him to be part of Eddie Howe’s first few training sessions.

The Daily Mail have reported that Scotland are going to quiz the forward as to why he pulled out with an injury, only to be training with Newcastle days later.

The Toon Army faithful have defended their player’s actions and state that they are the ones who pay his wages.

Added with that, others feel that he is putting his priorities first and that’s trying to help the Magpies get out of their current rut.

This is a crucial period for someone like Howe because he gets these two weeks to train with the players without any interruptions. 

And it may seem that Fraser has wanted to stay in the North East, rather than travel with Scotland where he, more than likely, wouldn’t have got many minutes.

The likes of Fraser, Callum Wilson and Matt Ritchie already have an advantage on their Newcastle teammates because Howe knows them inside and out.

Whilst someone like Wilson is a certain starter, someone like Fraser isn’t and this is probably his way of trying to get into his manager’s good books.
