Kenedy quickly reminded Newcastle United supporters of why they were so delighted to see the Brazilian return to St James’ Park.
A number of Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react to a video that the club posted showing new signing Kenedy scoring a stunning volley on the training ground ahead of the new season.
It has been a fantastic week for the Magpies supporters in many respects. Kenedy was superb for Rafa Benitez’s side after arriving on loan from Chelsea in January, and bringing him back to St James’ Park appeared to be right at the very top of the Spaniard’s summer wishlist.
And after weeks of speculation, it was confirmed in the last few days that the 22-year-old has returned for a second loan spell with the club, joining for the entirety of next season.
And although the Newcastle supporters hardly needed their memories jogged regarding his quality, the club provided a handy reminder as they posted a video from the training ground depicting the winger scoring a wonderful volley into the top corner.
It highlights how Kenedy is Newcastle’s most exciting signing so far, and may well end the window as the addition who has captured the imagination more than any other.
And in response to the video, the fans have been expressing their delight at the fact that the deal has been done and commenting on how much they are hoping for a permanent move further down the line as he clearly boasts the quality to make a major impact during his second spell on Tyneside.
