Fulham signed Andre Schurrle on Wednesday – and some Newcastle United fans are fuming.

Some Newcastle United fans on Twitter are fuming that their club wasn’t in for Andre Schurrle.
The World Cup-winning German joined Fulham on a two-year loan from Borussia Dortmund last night.
With Matt Ritchie linked with a move away from Newcastle, the 27-year-old would’ve been a huge upgrade, but he joined the newly-promoted Premier League side.
Worse yet, Magpies boss Rafael Benitez was linked with a move for Schurrle in January, with The Mail reporting at the time that the Spaniard had the chance to bring him on loan.
And some fans of the St James’s Park aren’t best pleased that he has ended up in West London.
Still, it hasn’t been a bad window for Newcastle so far – not by a long shot.
Benitez has still managed to sign Martin Dubravka and Ki Sung-yeung on permanent deals, while Kenedy re-signed on loan from Chelsea after impressing in the North-East last season.
That being said, it’s imperative that the former Liverpool manager adds a striker and The Daily Mail’s Live Transfer Blog [25/07/2018 13:26] claimed on Wednesday that ‘progress’ was being made in a swap deal for West Brom’s Salomon Rondon, with Dwight Gayle potentially heading to The Hawthorns.
