A lot of Newcastle United have been left stunned as Liverpool reportedly demand £27 million for Divock Origi.

A number of Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the reports emerging from the Liverpool Echo earlier this week suggesting that Liverpool want £27 million for Divock Origi this summer.

Origi has endured a difficult time since arriving at Anfield. He has struggled to establish himself in the side and has only managed to contribute a handful of goals during his spell on Merseyside, spending much of his time with the Reds out on loan.

The Chronicle reported earlier this month that Rafa Benitez was considering a potential loan bid for the Belgian as he looked to get the most out of his budget this summer.

However, the majority of the Newcastle fans would be forgiven for writing off the Magpies’ hopes given the latest reports regarding Origi’s future at Anfield.

The Liverpool Echo has reported that Jurgen Klopp is looking to receive a fee of £27 million before he gives Origi’s departure the green light. It certainly suggests that Liverpool have no plans to consider a loan deal as things stand.

Unsurprisingly, the large majority of Newcastle fans have suggested that their chances of landing the 23-year-old have evaporated completely given how the Magpies’ window has played out thus far.

Many do not believe that the youngster is worth anything like that amount and cannot believe that the Reds are looking to receive that fee before they sell Origi.
