The Newcastle U23s coach has left St James’ Park.

The confirmed exit comes after reports from The Sun that suggest Redfearn had fallen out with members of staff at the club, chiefly his number two Liam Bramley.
The 54-year-old missed Monday night’s match against Aston Villa.
Newcastle provided no explanation for the reasons of his exit and didn’t address those reported rumours in the statement.
Redfearn arrived at the club in June but has failed to guide his development side to a positive run of results this season, although The Sun’s sources suggest he was popular amongst the players working under him this season.
They’ve lost both of their EFL Trophy matches and currently sit ninth in Premier League, conceding 23 goals in ten league games.
Appointing the right man in the position is now crucial for the Magpies, who need to find a pathway for more homegrown prospects to make it into their senior side and compete at Premier League level.

Some fans seem glad to see the back of Redfearn, with this lot taking to Twitter to day to share their thoughts on it all…
