Newcastle have been linked with a move for Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City starlet Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer despite newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers making an offer – and some Toon fans would love him at St. James’ Park.
The Daily Star have reported that Newcastle are looking to hijack Wolves’ move to land the 21-year-old star, who was the subject of a £16million offer from Wolves last week.
Already a 17-time international with Ukraine, Zinchenko joined City in the summer of 2016 from Russian Premier League side FC Ufa before going on loan to PSV Eindhoven during the 2016-17 campaign.
He impressed in Dutch football and has now made the step up from loan outcast to fringe player under Pep Guardiola, making 14 appearances for the Premier League champions last term in all competitions – mainly at left-wing back.

He began his spell at City as a winger but with Guardiola using a three-man defence that incorporates wing backs, Zinchenko has since played on the left flank in a more reserved role.
Some Newcastle fans seem excited on Twitter after being linked to the young star, and are desperate for Benitez to pull off a deal that would see the Toon elbow Wolves aside at the last minute.
