The Tottenham Hotspur boss has been linked with a move away from the club.

Mauricio Pochettino told reporters yesterday how he wants to play at Tottenham’s new stadium at least once this season, and neutral fans took to Twitter in response to the Argentine’s comments.

Pochettino addressed the media yesterday, and, as quoted by the Mirror, he said:

“Daniel (Levy) still believes. He is working hard in order to deliver. The club has my opinion. My opinion is ‘move.’ If we can play one or five games, I want to move. Even for one game, I take the risk and move. I am brave. Lift the league trophy in the new stadium? Exactly. Or we lose it. But in your home. I always prefer to play at home and in my stadium and my house. I hope that happens.”

And many fans from opposing teams took to Twitter, believing that the Tottenham manager’s words actually mean something far more…

Tottenham currently sit in third spot in the Premier League table, five points adrift of league leaders Manchester City, and Pochettino deserves great credit for the job that he has done at the club, since taking over in 2014.

His fine work has not gone unnoticed, however, unfortunately for Spurs, with Manchester United casting an envious eye over the Argentine’s work, according to the Guardian.

Tottenham seem to be in an excellent position from which to achieve something special over the next few years, however, so it would be no surprise to see him stay in north London and see his project through.
