Jack Harrison has joined Leeds United on loan for the coming season having struggled for game-time at Middlesbrough last term.

A number of Middlesbrough fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that Leeds have completed a deal that will see Jack Harrison spend the season on loan at Elland Road.

English-born Harrison joined Manchester City on a permanent basis in January after spending around seven years in America, making 59 appearances for New York City. He was immediately loaned out to Boro upon his move to the Etihad Stadium.

However, his time at the Riverside Stadium did not exactly go to plan as Tony Pulis handed him just four substitute appearances for the play-off semi-finalists before he returned to his parent club.

Harrison has come back to the second tier ahead of this season, with Marcelo Bielsa making him Leeds’ fourth signing of the window, and the third to have previously been on loan with Middlesbrough. Jamal Blackman made one appearance for the club in 2014/15, while Lewis Baker played 12 times last season.

Harrison’s move to Leeds has prompted plenty of reaction amongst the Middlesbrough fans on social media considering that he only played four times.

There are some who appear to trust Pulis’ judgement and are not worried about the youngster coming back to haunt them, but there seems to be plenty who feel that he could prove to be an excellent signing for the Whites.

Many feel that he deserved more of a chance at Boro and are now fearful that he could make a fantastic impact for Leeds during the coming season if Bielsa shows the faith in him that Pulis was always reluctant to show.
